CD Review magazine (originally Digital Audio )

I started work on the launch of Digital Audio magazine in mid-January 1984. Our first issue, shown below, came out seven months later, in mid-August, with a cover date of September 1984. It was a great thrill to see that thing in print after our long launch period.

 

In 1989, our publisher changed the name of the mag to CD Review to reflect the incredible interest in our reviews of CD releases (new recordings and tons of reissues) in all categories: rock'n'roll, classical, jazz, country, folk, bluegrass, new age (remember new age?), folk, comedy, stage and screen — we had it all. 

 

Little by little, I'll post our covers here. If nothing else, it'll be a nice nostalgia blitz for me (and my old friends).
